As a Senior Design Engineer at Eaton, you will design, analyze, and test composite pressure vessels and structures for aerospace and defense applications. You'll work closely with customers and internal teams to develop innovative solutions, manage technical risks, and coach junior engineers. This role offers hands-on work with advanced composites and exposure to cutting-edge engineering principles.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace or Material Science or Technology from an accredited institution
Minimum of 3 years of product design, development, and/or production design problem resolution experience.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
工作职责
Visit and work with customers and our internal Business Development team to generate conceptual designs, definitize requirements, and develop cost estimates for new hardware.
Design, analyze and test composite pressure vessels and structures developing conceptual designs into mature product solutions.
Attend conferences and trade shows to advance technical skills and market intelligence.
Function as program manager to execute programs to allocated cost and schedule requirements while meeting customer needs.
Interface with suppliers and in house production teams throughout life of products.
Support the site as needed including developing new manufacturing processes, dispositioning nonconformances, troubleshooting product issues, responding to corrective actions, and incorporating any producibility lessons learned through drawing revisions.
Manage technical risk through exhaustive identification, prioritization of risk mitigation activities, and data driven design changes where appropriate.
Work to Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles including careful management of Critical to Quality requirements through the design lifecycle, rigorous knowledge building of the design space, understanding of the effects of manufacturing variation, and design for manufacturing and assembly to meet product recurring cost targets.
Coach junior engineers within the incumbents specified domain.
