Identify, prioritize, and champion high-impact opportunities for innovation, portfolio expansion, and market differentiation. Evaluate and drive business cases for investment in new products, technologies, and strategic partnerships. Lead advanced customer discovery, VOC (Voice of Customer), and clinical immersion programs; synthesize insights into actionable product and portfolio strategies. Monitor and interpret market trends, clinical advances, regulatory changes, and competitive moves to anticipate future needs. Translate complex clinical problems and customer pain points into robust product requirements and use cases. Oversee the validation of value propositions and product concepts through hands-on engagement with clinicians, KOLs, and advisory boards. Challenge and mentor less experienced team members in requirements engineering and upstream marketing methodologies. Serve as product owner or co-lead in multi-disciplinary, often global, project teams—driving the integration of customer and market needs at all stages of development. Collaborate closely with R&D, regulatory, quality, downstream product manager and service to ensure readiness for all relevant markets. Represent CA IC upstream interests in executive, portfolio, and innovation forums. Build influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive management, clinical experts, and strategic partners. Prepare and deliver high-impact presentations and decision packages for portfolio committees, steering boards, and investment councils. Represent Dräger at key customer meetings, conferences, and professional societies as a critical care product thought leader. Mentor and support the professional development of junior product managers and cross-functional team members. Champion best practices in upstream product management, market discovery, and innovation processes.
