LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruitment: Staff the global materials team; establish expectations; communicate criteria. Employee and Team Development: Identify strengths and needs; create training curriculum; coach and mentor; manage succession plans. Performance Management: Set measurable goals; solicit feedback; provide coaching; conduct evaluations; drive continuous improvement. Communication: Provide forums for exchange; organize ideas clearly; encourage input; adapt communication style. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Strategy and Direction: Know corporate strategy; analyze customer needs; develop materials strategy; champion implementation. Cost Management: Identify cost reduction ways; define cost analysis tools; provide feedback on cost trends. Forecast Development and Accuracy: Participate in monthly forecast cycle. TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: Planning/Inventory Control: Champion standard planning and inventory strategies; drive systematic demand process; ensure achievable Master Schedule; develop launch plans; manage buffer inventory; ensure continuity; oversee residual inventory; generate inventory reports; assist in excess/obsolete cost recovery; recommend process initiatives. Supply Chain Management: Communicate customer needs; manage materials quotation cycle; qualify new suppliers; negotiate pricing and terms; recommend customer BOM pricing; lead commodity control; promote strategic suppliers. Customer Service: Demonstrate commitment; represent professionally; anticipate and solve problems; serve as escalation point.
