This is an Applications Engineer role supporting ODM/OEM customers in deploying AMD's Data Center CPU and GPU products. You will provide hands-on technical consultation, system-level debugging, and optimization to ensure stable and high-performance product integration on customer server platforms. It involves close collaboration with internal software/firmware teams and external partners to solve multi-disciplinary challenges.

The person will work closely with software/FW development teams to understand the software Tools, architecture, FW/BIOS/CPLD, BMC and implementation and then enable the customers software/FW into their differentiated innovative products, and will also help in development phase and validation of critical customer features, and technical training for AMD field and customer teams. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Support ODM/OEM/customers in successfully deploying AMD Data Center products on server platforms, ensuring stability and optimal performance. Provide technical consultation and solutions for system integration and deployment. Perform issue analysis and troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve hardware or software problems. Deliver on-site technical support, assisting customers with testing, validation, and performance optimization. Collaborate closely with ODM, OEM, and ecosystem partners to drive product adoption and application success. Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and deliver training for internal teams and customers. Hands-on coding/debugging and resolution of customer issues, analysis and enablement of customer use-cases and feeding back the patches/fixes to the mainline SW. Bring-up customer boards with Linux kernel and device drivers working as reference boards. Serve as consultant to FAE, customers and partners as the subject matter expert in the area of BIOS/Firmware Achieve maximum platform/silicon entitlement in customer products through power and performance, driver optimization. Author applications notes and present training sessions to enable field teams, customers and partners. Prepare and deploy packages of different Linux distros integrating different components. Maintain domain expertise on new technologies by working closely with software/technology development teams on specific projects and participating in trainings, boot-camps etc. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Engineering degree in CS/EE with solid experiences. Deep understanding of the ODM ecosystem and proven experience working with ODM partners. Proficiency in Linux environments, including scripting and automation using Shell scripts. Hands-on experience required to support customers throughout product production, including board bring-up, custom feature development, and issue resolution. Expert in C language; knowledge of x86 assembly Hands-on knowledge of embedded software debugging techniques both from the hardware and BIOS perspective. Good knowledge of CPU system architecture and HW platforms based on x86. Agile and adaptable to changing customer requirements with ability to scope the work and drive closure. Experience working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment and ability to travel as needed. Experience in customer facing role (application engineering) will be a big plus. Team player with passion and hunger to do whatever it takes for business success. Excellent communication and evangelizing skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to produce results.
