This position is a Control Design Leader for automotive Body-in-White (BIW) automation projects. You will lead the control system design and on-site delivery, including software programming, debugging, supplier management, and customer technical interfacing. The role requires deep expertise in PLC programming, industrial robotics, and specific OEM standards (Ford GVOSS), with a strong focus on on-site execution and team leadership.

Key Customer Standards:
Ford GVOSS Experience: Must be highly proficient and have practical experience in applying Ford GVOSS Control Standards and with debugging experience in Ford Body-in-White projects.
Technical Skills:
Industry Experience: Have at least 5 years of experience in the Body-in-White / Powertrain / Electric Vehicle fields, focusing on software programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and on-site delivery.
Core Software Skills: Proficiency in TIA Portal, RSLogix (Studio 5000), and General-purpose IT tools.
Core Professional Knowledge: Expert in PLC & HMI & SCADA programming, proficient in control system electrical design, control and automation concepts, motion system control (inverters or servo controllers), and familiar with the teaching and programming logic of industrial robots.
Network & Communication: Hands-on configuration and operational experience with network communication protocols such as Profinet/ProfiSAFE, EthernetIP, and EtherCAT.
Safety & Compliance: Possess strong knowledge of safety standards and norms, with the ability to conduct safety and risk assessment analysis.
Virtual Commissioning: Capable of software logic development and debugging via Virtual Commissioning.
Process Knowledge: Familiar with Joining Technologies (Welding, Hemming, Bolting, Laser Joining, Arc Joining…), and collision detection software interfaces.
Language Skills:
Must have fluent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in both Thai and English to communicate commercially and technically as a daily working language.
Candidates with good communication skills in Mandarin Chinese will be highly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electric &Automation; or Computer and Information Science.

Responsibilities:
System Architecture Design
Develop control system concepts according to customer requirements and Comau standards.
Pre-design & Proposal Support: Involved in the controls proposals phase to verify engineering viability. Review functional design and safety specifications before the design phase & software programming.
Software Programming, Debugging & Process Implementation
Program Development & Debugging: Familiarize deeply with the process flow of each production line based on company and customer requirements; independently complete on-site software programming and debugging for BIW automated production lines.
Third-party Equipment Integration: Responsible for the interface programming, parameter setting, and joint debugging of all third-party specialized equipment on the welding line.
Design Feedback & Closed-loop: Promptly inspect and accurately report any electrical/fluid drawing issues found during on-site debugging to the hardware/fluid design engineers for revision.
Customer Interfacing, Status Reporting & Technical Support
OEM Technical Reporting: Act as the on-site technical interface to formally report project status, technical progress, and key milestones to the customer regularly, and appropriately handle technical feedback and requirement changes from the customer.
Weekly Reports & Document Management: Submit formal weekly project reports detailing completed tasks, unresolved issues, project progress, and other relevant status information.
Acceptance & Training Delivery: Support the electrical technical supervisor in organizing, sorting, and signing off documents related to control design and debugging, and provide professional technical training related to the control system to the OEM.
Supplier Management & Delivery Leadership
Leading Supplier Delivery: Demonstrate technical leadership by guiding outsourced PLC design suppliers to complete project software design and debugging tasks. Allocate tasks reasonably according to project schedules, supervise supplier progress, guarantee overall delivery quality, ensure deliverables strictly meet OEM requirements, and successfully achieve milestone acceptances.
Technical Solution Optimization: Work closely with the on-site team to resolve complex technical challenges and assist in evaluating and determining the best solutions from the perspectives of technology, cost, and schedule.
On-site Electrical Construction Coordination
Construction Coordination & Arrangement: Capable of coordinating small to medium-sized on-site electrical modifications or alterations, reasonably dispatching on-site electrical installation personnel, and supervising construction safety, process quality, and progress.
