As the Operations Director for Aerospace Transparencies at PPG, you will oversee 4 manufacturing sites across the US and Italy, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. You will ensure safe, high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective product delivery while leading cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain and manufacturing processes.

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, engineering preferred.

+ years of operations and engineering experience in discrete manufacturing, specifically in highly regulated, low-volume, high-mix engineered products environments.

+ years of management/supervisory experience.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple competing tasks.

Demonstrated success in driving improved performance and metrics.

Strong leadership skills, including leading cross-functional teams, influencing others, developing high-growth talent, and setting short- and long-term visions.

Availability for domestic and international travel.

Actively engage in Safety and Quality, ensuring operational discipline and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Monitor and review EHS performance, striving for a risk-free manufacturing environment.

Build an operations and supply chain culture focused on action, value-added services, accountability, and leadership.

Monitor and improve KPIs, leading corrective actions for deviations.

Facilitate communications across sites and with offsite Business, Program, and Functional teams.

Collaborate with S&OP, Supplier Management, and Procurement teams on tactical and strategic needs.

Lead analysis of alternative approaches to deliver efficiencies and simplicity.

Ensure service requirements for internal and external customers are achieved.

Develop and manage strategies and processes for operational functions, ensuring process standardization.

Delegate work, set expectations, monitor performance, and provide feedback.

Deliver financial commitments, achieving expense, variance, and production plans.

Participate in Working Capital management and address deviations.

Anticipate technological changes to optimize productivity and support business growth.

Enhance manufacturing site performance through lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.

Drive root cause/corrective action processes for critical issues.

Ensure conformance with PPG and SBU Quality and EH&S policies, completing MOCs and RCCAs.
