This position is for a Sommelier at Terrace Boulud, a restaurant within the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service, managing wine and spirits, and training bar staff. It requires a WSET certification and at least 2 years of relevant experience in luxury hotel F&B.
Holder of WSET certificate; At least 2 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably with pre-opening experience in a luxury hotel; Passionate about delivering an exceptional F&B service; Pleasant, presentable, service-oriented, a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills; Proficient in Cantonese, English and Mandarin is an advantage
Deliver a delighted bar and dining experience to our guests; Maintain smooth and efficient operations in the bar areas; Understand guests’ needs and deliver excellent service and professional recommendation; Ensure that the beverage lists are updated and maintain accurate sales records; Monitor the proper storage, aging rotation and temperature of all stock in beverage storeroom in a daily basis; Serve all beverage order in accordance with proper procedures; Provide on-the-job training to bartenders as well as the service team in all aspects of the beverage service and knowledge; Follow and apply HACCP standards at all times
