As a Machinery Diagnostics Field Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will provide on-site diagnostic services for rotating machinery, using vibration analysis and rotor dynamics to assess equipment health. You'll travel extensively (up to 70%) to customer sites, build trusted advisor relationships, and deliver actionable reports. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing problem-solving in the energy industry.

Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering a plus)
Have minimum 2 years of industry experience
Be available for extensive travel (up to 70%) and significant over-time (paid)
Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport)
Be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential)
Be eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion

Diagnosing machinery problems based upon vibration data, operational data, and customer communications
Travel to customer sites to provide supporting service
Completing timely reports that identify findings and provide recommendations to the customer
Building relationships with customers to provide a high-level of service delivery, becoming their trusted advisor for their rotating equipment health
Calculating and overseeing placement of balance weights
Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures

Demonstrated authority and assurance in dealing with people
Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel

Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical prints
Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems
Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems
Knowledge of or experience with AT LEAST one or more of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration and/or diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment
Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and CordantTM services
Basic familiarity with computer network systems
